NCAA Defending Champions Practice at Salle Mauro Before Competition

Few people in the Houston area involved in fencing didn't know about the NCAA Championships being held this last weekend in the George R. Brown Convention Center.

Renowned Russian Fencing Coach Vladimir Nazlymov and the rest of the Ohio State Fencing Team (the NCAA defending Champions) visited Salle Mauro for their final practice before the competition. The team, including 2004 US Saber Olympian Jason Rogers and Israeli National Foil Champion Boaz Ellis, were optimistic about retaining their national championship. Unfortunately, placed second to Norte Dame by just two points.
